Madeline LaFleur
As an environmentalist and artist, I am inspired by my body as an earthen vessel of beauty and rawness. My body is marked with freckles, scars, and tattoos; my hair and body are full and natural, and I love it. It reflects to me the power of my generation as change-makers and shakers.
My career so far has been defined by my role at an environmental nonprofit, where I have developed skills in communications and outreach as well as stakeholder coordination. I also have experience working adjacent to Art Museum Curation as a former Gallery Attendant at my University's Art Museum, where I had the opportunity to sink my teeth into arts and cultural studies. While pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, this experience working in a gallery led me to coursework in film and anthropology, which has informed my vision as both a career environmentalist and a creative.
To me, modeling is a bridge between curation, cultural studies, and the natural world. I love the representation of bodies as a part of Earth. I want to represent the soft animal of my human form and all its radiant beauty, alongside my goals to continue to develop a creative career where I can align with brands, artists, and organizations doing visionary work.
Other interests of mine include singing and songwriting, snowboarding, film, travel, cooking, and, more recently, learning about ancestral language and folklore.
